About Us
TechSafeKids.com was created to assist parents in protecting their children online. There are so many simple things that can be done to keep your child safe in this technological era.
We were inspired by news articles telling of how children were lured from their home by predators using the Internet. It occurred to us that we needed a way to share the knowledge we had with other parents.
There appears to be two kinds of parents in this respect:
- The parent that is aware there are inherent dangers when children are allowed to use the Internet. These parents tend to err on the side of caution, which is preferable to doing nothing. These parents need information to make informed decisions.
- The parent that is unaware that their child is in any danger and believes that the Internet is harmless. These are parents that do not monitor what their child is doing on the Internet and unfortunately these are the children that we hear about on news reports after they’ve been abducted, abused or worse. These parent need to be made aware of the importance of monitoring the online activities of their child.
It is the goal of this website to provide the information that parents need to keep their children safe while online. If only one child is helped by the information provided within this site, then our mission will have been accomplished.
